Twisted Sacrum

(2 discussions)

I started to experience lower back pain 6 month’s ago. 5 week’s ago I was diagnosed with a twisted Sacrum and advised that my L4/L5 joint is out of alignment.
I have had chiropractic adjustments twice a week for 5 week’s now and my chiropractor has advised he is puzzled as to why I have not made progress and a full recovery after these treatments. Could you please advise me if there is another form of treatment that I should be obtaining to assist with recovery?
I have tried Psyiotherapy, accupuncture, remedial massage, Micro Current, Scenar treatment and also take natural anti inflamatories such as the metagenic’s and biocetical range.
I have found since obtaining chiropractic treatment that my upper back has now started to hurt also.
I am at a loss as to what to try next. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Well your DC should try to figuire out why your sacrum is twisted, is it because of a leg length imbalance and it exists as a compensatory reaction to that or is it due to a misalignment in another retion, say your lumbar. Also it could be congenital or just idiopathic. But maybe have the DC try something new but even then results are not guarenteed. Also how long has the sacrum been twisted? It takes a long time to get the body to adapt to a new posture sometimes. It could be several months before the current procedures can get everything straightened out or it could be the next visit. There are to many factors to take into consideration than to put a timeline of 6 weeks on it. Sometimes it just takes time.

Try BodyMechanics in Atlanta, they use a structured program of PT that is helping my twisted sacrum in conjuntion with a sports chiropractor.
