Ugly toddler toenails

My 4 yr old has the ugliest toenails and I’m afraid she’s going to have her grandfather’s toenails which are really really gross (thick, yellow, peeling and generally gross… he goes to a podiatrist who cuts them but has not attempted to make them better and I’m afraid they can’t be made better).
My daughter’s big toe toenails are a weird shape… they don’t go straight across and they curl up when not cut.
Tonight I noticed the pinky toenail (which is tiny) is all cracked looking… picture a shattered windshield.
Is this normal?
Might they grow in nicer?
Is there anything I can do, espec for the big toe?

Without seeing them, I am going to say probably not. There is a vitamin called Biotin which is sold as Appearex which can be helpful in improving the appearance of nails. I am not familiar with it enough to suggest using it on a child.
