Unresolved knee injury

I’ve already spent dozens of hours and thousands of dollars trying to solve this problem, and still it plagues me. Used to be an enthusiastic runner.
Suffered tiny stress fracture of right knee about a year ago. Bones healed just fine according to orthopedic guys I’ve seen (three of them), but I still cannot walk properly. Right knee hyperextends (at least that’s what it feels like), whole right-leg motion seems to have shifted forward from where it belongs, so that my strides are always out of whack and the right foot drags on the ground.
I’ve been through two courses of physical therapy and I’ve done every damned exercise they told me to do.
I still can’t walk worth a damn. Any ideas?

Are these dr.’s sure that you do not have an acl tear? I am 47 and tore mine completely off my femur in April. I have had 5 months of therapy. I still can not walk down stairs like a normal person. It sounds alot like what I am going through. It really is miserable. I really hope you get some answers soon. I wish you the best.
