unstable pelvis

I was diagnosed 4 months ago by a Chriropractor with a UNstable Pelvis, I had very bad pains down my thighs my hipa and lower back are constantly stiff and aching, after seeing him for a month with 3 visits a week there was NO change, after seeing him twice a week or once a week 3 months later im still in pain, when I went for my treatment this morning has he tried to massage my right side of my pelvis in place, the pain was unbearable, he said it is all over the show again and isnt stabilising. My uestion to you is. Is there anyone else who can treat me for this because im 32yrs old with a 4yr old girl and it cost me ?27.00 for 10min session at chiros I have now spent HUNDREDS of pounds and he just keeps saying it may take time!! please advise me of any other specialist..     Hi, I also have an unstable pelvis, caused from a car accident in which left me with NO muscle on my left side of my pelvis at all. I get chronic ciatica and the pain at physio or chiro is unbearable. For the past twelve months, the physio and myself have done tummy strenthening exercises, to tighten your abdomenal muscles across the front of the belly. It had ENORMOUSLY helped. It compensates for the unstable pelvis and also makes you tummy look pretty good!

    I too have a unstable pelvis. Only a recent diagnosis after ruling out split pubis and ostitis pubis(not sure of spelling) (due to pregnancy ment that they could not run tests)for these conditions I was given special excercises and support belts and rules for movement these are the same for my final diagnosis. do your normal pelvic floor excercises and lower tummy contractions also combine the 2 and do quick flicks with your pelvic floor. where a support belt that stabalises your pelvis (available through physio) keep your legs together when getting out of car etc, sleep with a pillow between your legs when on your side,avoid stepping over things, don’t stand on one foot, sit down to get dressed or dry feet after shower, take one step at a time when using stairs.

    have been seeing osteopath for 7months with very similar symtpoms of unstable pelvis and left buttock pain radiating to l calf with tingling in l foot leg when sitting. Sitting has become difficult + tingling can start as soon as I sit have worn corset for 8 weeks to stabilise outer pelvic muscles + now stretching exercises for inner muscles + Piriformis is trapping nerve intermittently. Back stiffness+ MRI scan shows Grade 1 spondylolisithesis L4/5. now aged 45 + had 1 x pregnancy + LsCs delivery 3yr 9 months ago, prior to this was v fit active + played sports++- where do I go from here? I am to start polartis + want to get back to tennis golf running etc which I am wary to do, even 1 hour of gardening can cause significant pain. Stretching exercises does give temporary relief + have Tempur mattress. Would perimemopause also be contributing here- would be grateful for your opinion, thank you

    Hi SharonIm a 36 year old mum with two children. My back pain started when I was 23! After a termination and then a car accident a year later made things a lot worse. I have been in Chronic pain ever since and have seen every specialist and every alternative therapy that exists. Not much helped apart from Pilates and positive thinking and pray. I’m a lot better than years ago but I still have pain to deal with every day and I need domestic help and help with my 1 year old baby. A physio I saw just after lilly was born said with out a doubt I have an unstable pelvis. I frequently get one leg heavier than the other to lift. (lying down and straight leg lift). Did you get that? I’m now convinced she is right, as nothing has showed on 2 MRI scans I have had in the past and it all makes sense. I can’t sleep on my right side either, haven’t been able to for 12 years. So suggests its the pelvis and not the back!!! All this time I thought I had a back problem and its the pelvis!! Well what I wanted to know is are you better now? If yes, what did you do. I know I need to do more intense core exercises but I have heard prolatherapy can work well?? Would be really good to hear from you or anyone else who has been through this horrific ordeal. Kind reginds Dominique

    You have a herniatided disc not an unstable pelvis. Get a MRI
