walking cast vs plaster cast

i currently have a plaster cast on my right leg due to a sprained foot. I would prefer to have a strap on walking cast so that I would be able to remove it in order to drive. What are the differences between a plaster cast and a strap on?

I broke my foot. One place on the outside of my foot and one place by my 2nd toe. Right now I have a splint. My foot is too swollen for a cast. How would the walking cast help me and what does it look like

My 13 year old daughter had surgery 5 weeks ago beacuse of a broken tibia and fibula, she had a metal rod put n her tibia, the fibula is still broken, she didn’t have a cast on after surgery, and is still struggling to put weight on her foot, she feels very vulnerable. Would a walking cast beneift her ?

what are some ways I can keep my long arm cast dry in the shower? i’ve heard of using plastic wrap but i’m skeptical. can you give me advice?
