Wart removal and numb toe

I have been battling(and mostly losing)a large plantar wart on my left foot for years.
Recently I have been very agressive in treatment.
I have used liquid wart remover every night.
Then every few days using a surgical blade and slicing off the dead tissue.
I also occasionally have used over-the-counter freezing treatments.
This wart is located about one inch in a diagonal direction from my great toe on my left foot.
About 3 days ago, the inside of my great toe, the part touching the toe next to it, is numb and tingles.
It is a very strange sensation and has me quite worried.
Is there a possibility that my wart removal treatments is interfering with or damaging a nerve to my great toe??
Or should I look for other answers to this problem.

Yes, from your description you might be aggravating one of the sensory nerves of the toe.You might consider seeing a podiatrist for further information.
