Went to Chiropractor

I was just wondering if some of the things I am experiencing are normal after going to a chiropractor. I have a disc protrusion at L5-S1. He did distraction manipulation on this table made for that. I hurt very bad the next day and hardly could control the pain with pain meds. Now the second day I have pain in my leg that I did not have before. It’s on the back of my leg when I sit. I have pain in my back by my tailbone like I always have but yesterday it was really bad from his treatment. I have had no pain in my leg at all until I went to the Chiropractor. Is it normal to have pain in those areas from that Distraction Manipulation table or could he have done something to make my problem worse? I know I should ask my Chiropractor and I will but I want more then one opinion. I was supposed to go in again the next day after his first treatment for another one but I was in so much pain that I could not sit in a car to get there and I could not even imagine how painful it would have been to have him use that on me again after I already hurt so bad. Please answer. I just want to know what is normal with that kind of treatment and if I should go back to him for more treatments.

I just wanted to follow up about my chiropractic experience. I went in there with a disc protrusion and what the chiropractor did caused my disc to herniate and I now have a large herniation with a fragment and severe nerve compression. I have to have surgery. I am losing strength in my leg and foot fast. It’s hard to walk. I will be having a microdiscectomy next Wednesday. So I just don’t think chiropractic care is appropriate for disc damage. It caused severe damage to my disc that was apparent immediately by my symptoms.
