Wet sensation felt with toe?
I’d like to know if the symptom I am feeling needs any medical attention. For the past month, I have been experiencing a rather odd sensation with my Great Toe on the right foot. At least once or twice a day,(barefoot in the house) I will get the sensation that I am stepping in something cold and wet. I have knelt down on more than one occasion to see what has spilled, only to end up crawling around on the floor attempting to find the “wet” spot that I know I feel. I feel the sensation on the tile and on the carpet. It is mainly just annoying at the present time, but I wanted to know what might be the cause and if I need some sort of medical attention. I might add that I have had “foot” problems in the past…
I have an extra sesamoid bone in one foot and a fractured one in the other…one leg is slightly longer than the other, I pronate with one foot and supinate with the other. I received PT on my feet in 2019 for 6 months with an injectable steroid administed topically and transmitted via muscle contraction. Not sure what it was called, but it decreased the inflamation and help work out the scar tissue. I haven’t really had foot pain consistenly since, so I’m not sure what is going on. Any help would be apprecitated from anyone, but especially the doc! Thanks Kelly

This sounds like a sensory nerve impingement. If this only happens barefoot, then the simple treatment is to wear shoes.

I figured that out already. I just needed to know if it was a symptom of something else or what might be causing it.
