What is it???

OK…you know when you put on those brand new pair of tenni’s and we sometimes get a blister on the back of our feet…well instead of blisters I have a bone that sticks out on the back of both my feet. It is often mistaked for blisters from other people. What is this and is there a procedure that can get rid of these??

Without seeing your foot I can not be certain. Possibilities include a Haglund’s deformity, a posterior calcaneal spur, a retrocalcaneal bursitis, even a tendon callus. You should see a podiatrist for more evaluation and treatment options.
