5th metatarsal Avulsion fracture pain
I was diagnosed with an avulsion fracture of the 5th metatarsal a few days ago. I am using a post-op shoe and weight-bearing limited only by pain. I am not feeling much pain at the fracture site, but notice pain medially in the arch of my foot. Why is this?

Usually this is due to the patient shift their weight in a protective manner
