Achilles tendon problem?

For a little over two weeks now, I’ve had pain in the achilles area.
There’s a small bump about 2 1/2 inches up from the back of my heel that’s painful to touch.
When I point my toes up, there’s a burning sensation and I can feel something pulling.
I’ve tried ice & rest, with no relief.
Wearing any shoes makes it worse.
I haven’t been seen by a doctor yet, which type would be my best choice or should I even be concerned?

By all means see a podiatrist or orthopedist ASAP. You may have a tear of your Achilles tendon. I recommend you use crutches and try to be non weight bearing until you have further evaluation.
