Achilles tendon rupturre

I ruptured my achilles tendon while playing racquetball.
I had surgery on the 5th of June, 2012.
I am an active 29 year old female who before this injury had never had any serious ones.
Is it likely that I’ll be playing competitive racquetball in 6 months?
I’m already back in the gym riding a stationary bike with heel pressure only.
It seems like when I started back exercising, my leg began to feel better very quickly.
Does the exercise help the blood flow to that area of my leg?

The short answer is yes exercise does increase blood flow, but your concerns should be addressed by either your doctor or physical therapist. They can evaluate your present level. Good luck. Vivian A DPM
