achilles tendonitis

(2 discussions)

I have been suffering from a.t. for about six months .
I have tried ice and anti inflammatories, with some success.
I work construction and have noticed that when I wear my workboots the pain intensifies.
Would wearing heel supports or “quags” help this condition?

Thank you

If I examined you, I would do a diagnostic ultrasound and possibly a MRI if that is not clear. If you have continuing problems, the underlying cause should be identified and addressed. Quags are a very nice heel lift, but I can not say that it will solve your problem. Please get this further evaluated.

i have been told by my doctor that I have achillestendonitis. it has been bothering me for about 2 years. it aches (all at the ankle area, the back side, both sides of the small bone back there) it swells up, sometimes alot to where it hangs over and I can’t get shoes on. i’ve iced it, done the stretching exercises, and it stillaches and hurts alot.
