ankel “sprain”

i went to the dr. 9 months ago for what I thought was a sprain and thats what he said it was I did what he told me to and 3 weeks later it felt better the about 4 weeks after that it poped one night at work and since then it hurt bad I have been to the dr. again (3 weeks ago) and she told me it was a resprain so she sent me to physical therapy, 2.5 weeks latter it still hurts very very bad. could it be anything else other than a sprain?email me please [email protected]

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THE SWELLING TO GO DOWN AND THE PAIN TO GO AWAY WITH A ANKEL SPRAIN??

my 3 year old has had an ankel sprain and needs attention. he does not allow us to touch his leg. Pl let me know the best solution as he is in pain
