Depending on the severity and age of the injury, RICE (rest, ice, compression, elevation).sometimes I will use a cast brace if it is too painful.

other than pain, how does ankle tendinitis affect the foot…for example, will the tendons loosen up or make the ankle or foot unstable?thanks,justin
