Hello. I have had a bad back for abt 2 years. The last few days my wrist, hands, arms,Knees, ears, top of my head.every joint I have hurts, even my pelvic area. I am wondering if this can be from a piched nurve?Im trying to look things up but it looks like it should only effect certain spots, not all at once. I have went to a doc before,About a year ago. He did scan of my back said there was nothing wrong, went to another who was a frind of his,Not one of them did a thing. So can this be a piched nurve? or should I try another Doc? Thanks alot for anyinfo.Larry

You’re very welcome and for future reference it’s spelled…chiropractorAnd if you have pain in every joint then your DC should be referring you out to an MD.and it’s Wednesday btwBest of luck to you…keep me posted

Larry, You said you had the scan a year ago but the pain has only been the last few days, so you can’t blame the docs for not finding anything. You might have a pinched nerve anyway, but that’s not what is causing all these symptoms. If you truly have pain in every joint from head to toe…you need to get yourself to a good internist right away and if that’s not possible, the er.

I agree with Dr. Dave. To me it sounds like you have more of a sytemic problem. Meaning it affecting all your joints. If you had pain down the upper or lower extremity there are tests we can do to determine if indeed it’s a pinched nerve. Typically a pinched nerve will show a distinctive pattern. If you hurt all over, it could be a host of problems. What I would do is order an arthritic panal. Another consideration that I have diagnosed over the years, and is becoming more prominent today is Lymes disease. It typically has a dinstinctive rash that will accompany it (bullseye). Not saying you have this, just a thought. Seeing an internist or a good chiropractor for some lab work is a good idea regardless of what you other chiropractor found with his machine. by the way, those machines (surface emg, thermography) aren’t very sensitive.
