Bakers cyst removal

any one had a bakers cyst removed?
I have had this condition for over 2 years now. I had arthroscopy to remove torn meniscus and the cyst was aspirated but returned in about 2 weeks and keeps getting worse. I am having quite a lot of pain and cannot extend the leg fully and going up (or down) stairs is painfull and difficult. Also numbness in the back of leg from above ankle to mid way up the back of upper leg. My orthopedic doc. does not want to operate but this is getting to be too much. Has anyone been thru the surgery?

I also have a Baker’s Cyst but my surgeons and my physical therapist say that it is better to just leave it alone or it’ll lead to more problems. We’re also not sure that this it the cause of my pain, so I guess I have to live with it. I was just told to alternate between ice massage and heat. If you go through the surgery, tell me how it went and how you’re doing. I hope things work out for you.

My email is I have a had a bakers cyst for quite some time now. It is causing me pain and discomfort exactly like yours. Have you done anything to help your situation?
