balls of both feet

(2 discussions)

both feet have a swelling and soreness on the ball of the foot at the 3rd toe, I recently purchased your Biomechanical Custom-crafted orthotics customer #307799, in your opinion will this correct the problem? and what caused the problem initially? Do you think this was poor circulation? are there any exercises I can do? Is it possible that diet can affect this? Thanks

First of all, the items you see advertised are not mine. The gentleman who hosts my website owns these other sittes, so I am not sure what you bought. As far as guessing what your problem is, without an examination, I can’t be too sure. Possibly a neuroma or capsulitis. I doubt circulation or diet has anything to do with it. I recommend you see a podiatrist for further evaluation.

I have had 2 foot surgeries, first one was a crack in the big toe which produced a spur. The next was a joint replaced for the big toe because it had no cartliage. The xray showed that the surgical procedure was ok but I’m still having pain in the ball of the foot under the big toe and on the side. The surgeon said that he might have to removed the replacement but I don’t think it’s the replacement because I can move the toe without any trouble. If he removes the replacement and there is nothing in the joint I will still have the same pain I am having now plus the pain of the joints rubbing together again. I’m thinking of getting a second opinion from a orthopedic specialist. My first two surgeries were done by a podiatric specialist.
