bicep tendon release

(2 discussions)

i had an unsuccessful SLAP repair in january and now have bicep tendonitis. I beleive the labrum was attached too tight and was stretched. I had bicep pain day 1 post op with no pro op symptoms of bicep tendonitis. has been almost 5 months now and it looks the only solution is to cut the long head of bicep. I can’t find much info on the function of an arm/shoulder with no bicep tendon attachment would love any info on the effects of severing a bicep tendon. thanks

Could you tell me if the labrum is a muscle or a tendon and where is it located? Thanks
