bicep tendonitis

(2 discussions)

About a month ago my doctor told me I had bicep tendonitis and recommended that I go to physical therapy. I went for two weeks of therapy and the pain went away. Now its coming back again, and the pain is worse then it was before. Do you know of anything I can do to help to get rid of the pain, and if I can still play sports?

I am in my 50’s and had bicepital tendonitis a few years ago. I lift weights at the gym and this was a problem that developed from overtraining. I ended up having to get a shot of cortizone, back off my training and my shoulder/bicep has been stronger than ever.

What could be the cause of my bicepital tendonitis? I’m in my early 40’s, I do not lift weights, I do not do strenous exercises. As a matter of fact I do not exercise at all. I just work 8 hours/day in the office.
