Bicep Tendonitis

I have been told by my doctor that I have bicep tendonitis in one arm.
Since I’m on an HMO it’s next to impossible to get PT so he suggested I do some internet research for therapy.
I’m an avid runner and I weight train at the gym (hence my injury I believe).
I have adjusted my routine but would like some exercises that may help alleviate the pain or help prevent further problems. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.

Listen to your body. If it hurts when you lift…for heavens sake stop lifting!!! Rest is the most important part of healing. Once you are pain free start LIGHT lifting with NO pain. Do easy stretching. Work up SLOWLY with your weights and in the meantime use ice to control the pain. Mya
