I had mine for about $800 out of pocket. I believe it was about $10,000 or so before insurance. If you have health insurance, you should be able to get them to cover it. Talk to a surgeon and they can tell you whether they think you are a good candidate and submit paperwork to the insurance company. There is a decent chance that you will be rejected the first time around, but you can definitely appeal. Make sure to include any information on what doctors or physical therapists you’ve seen for the problem and what was tried. Also, if you are overweight, start trying to loose now since some insurance companies apparently will recommend that you try that first. As far as size, it really depends on what you want but at best you can give your surgeon a general idea of what you are looking for (nonexistent, small, medium, large, etc.). And even if you do decide on a size, there is a good chance that it will come out differently because of how you heal and how the precise the doc can be. And then there is the whole issue that a 38B is not the same cup size as a 34B. And sizes vary between bra brands and designs just like with any other clothing. But don’t tell your surgeon you want between a ____ and a _____ cup. Because you really don’t. Try finding a bra when you are between an A and a B, or a B and a C. I did however get a B and was quite happy with it (I was originally a G). I still have back pain due to fibromyalgia, but it has definitely helped. If you are still interested in more info, there is a wonderful community about breast reduction at LiveJournal.com
