    Yes the surgery for bowlegs is called an osteotomy. They take a wedge shape out of the bone to straighten it up. My uncle had this surgery. It is used on bow-legged people in older years because the medial cartilage (meniscus) is damaged from being bow legged. On orthopedic surgeon preforms this type of surgery.
