Broken 5th metatarsal
I broke my 5th metatarsal the beginning of June 2014.
The xray showed a stress fracture on the top of the bone on the distal end(nearest the toe).
I wore a walking boot for a until early August and another xray showed that the bone was beginning to “hollow out” – as my doctor described it.
He said to stop wearing the boot as long as it didn’t cause too much pain and not worry about it.
I am concerned because it is still achey and sore.
I want to know what exercises, etc. I should do to help it heal.

I think that too much stress on this is not a good thing. If you must exercise, I recommend non weight bearing activities such as swimming or biking. I suggest you use pain as your guide.
