Broken Collar Bone

I am 12 years old and broke my collar bone on 9/20 in a soccer game.
In the ER they took an xray and it was broken about in the middle.
I have been wearing a brace to hold my shoulders back.
I used a lot of ice for the first three days.
There is almost no swelling and no bruise.
It is feeling really good and I can move my arm pretty well.
How fast does this heal and is it possible that I might be able to play in my last 7th grade football game on 10/16, which is 26 days after I broke it.
If I do play and break it again, would there be any problems with the healing the second time?

Is there a brace that I could get to wear while I play? i’m 18 and I broke my collar bone on 8/27 playing soccer and I have a tournament this weekend and I was just wondering if I got a brace if I would be able to play. I have all my movement back in my arm and I have put presure on it and it feels fine. tis weekend is 2 months from when I broke it and I really want to play.

broken mine bout a week ago… weird break it broke then pushed it self up so the 2 bones are crossing each other…..was wondering how bad does the brusing get…. my whol shoulder it like a yellow color…wanted to know if it get worse

Whatever you do, please make sure you let your collar bone heal properly! I broke my collar bone and didn’t know it, and it healed incorrectly, and now I have a huge knot on my shoulder and constant pain.

Bad news…. It takes about 6-8 weeks for a bone to fully heal… I will guarantee you if you play and have impact on your collar bone it will surely break again, since it’s not fully healed. Have you tried throwing a football overhead yet? Can you push without pain? Does it hurt, pop or grind??? I highly suggest you forego the game and chear on the bench. It’s not worth the pain and potential for further harm. Ra Ra …Mya
