buldging disc

(4 discussions)

I have been seeing a chriopractor for the last month to get back adjustiments and with x-rays discovered I had a buldging disc. I’m now also on back exercises to strengthen muscles that support my back. I still have alot of morning stiffness and soreness. Ice really helps but my question is, will it ever complety heal or is this something that will continue to be irriated off and on? I have had back problems for 4-5 years. Any excessive exercise plus work seems to keep it irritated. I do alot of repetitive lifting at work and I’m considering cutting back on my hours. Is my job what is causing my problems? I work in a day-care taking care of up to 12 infants a day constantly lifting and bending 7 and half hrs a day without a break. I’m 51 years old and also has had shoulder surgery for a bone spur a couple of years ago. I have been treated by my family doctor, physical therapist, and now a chiropractor which all seems to help but is this going to keep getting worse as I get older? It sure seems that way over the past years. I also have other health isuues I’m being treated for. Thyroid hashimoto’s disease and all thr related issues and going through menopause. I’m having a hard time staying on top of things and get very frustrated. Thanks for any input.

if chiropractor does not sove the problem in 6 weeks stop u will end up at a surgery I am happy to say homeopathy has the solution what actually is that the gel that keeps the disks in place leaks out and does not generate soo dee a homeo doctor discuss your prob it will take a week or two and things will be solved all the best I’ve had the same problem disks keep on slipping so homeo is the best solution cold intake no suffiecient do hydro therapy it works to relax the muscles

I also have 2 buldging discs that shoot pain down, left, right and spasms like crazy up my back. For about 4 or five months they thought I was faking it, until the MRI. The Doctors tell me that you can not tell that there is a buldge w/an exray only MRI’s. It has been since Oct. and the pain just gets worse when I try anything. for ex….. I Can’t bend twist or sit in certain positions without having severe pain. Life as I knew it seems to be a dream from long ago. Just things as simple as picking up a penny off the ground takes a lot of courage with bulgding disks. Many people I have talked with including Doctors that have an experties in this field say that it will heal. but no one will give an exact date, bc it veries person to person. One Dr. was straight with me and said mine will never heal, just get worse in time bc there is no water content in the discs that are buldging. but thats just one opinion compared to the other 9. Right??
I am addicted to ICE packs. I can’t take any of the meds bc of an alsur. I am tired of the pain never leaving just getting worse I give it to God and let Him decide what will happen next.
