buldging disc with (L5) with disc degeneration

(2 discussions)

Hi, I was just told that I have a buldging disc with disc degeneration. (L5). I have a lot of pain in my right buttock and the pain runs down my leg to the toes. Most of the time my leg falls asleep.(or goes Numb) I also have touble turning in bed. Is this pain and discomfort coming from the buldging disc?

I had a Bak Cage Fusion on September 7 and have been out of work since June. I am going back to work on January 20th, and cannot take any pain meds. My nerve pain is still really bad at times, especially in my left sensored/hip. It does seem to be better a little each month…does this mean it will go away? Or can I expect to live with pain my entire life? I still have numbness in my left shin and foot.

    Hi,
My 11 yr. old son has been having severe neck pain and spasms going on for 2 months now. He recently had a MRI and was diagnosed with a bulging disc and he is in the early stage of disc degeneration in the c3 disc. I would like any information that you would be able to share about this on how someone his age would start with this. Please help me understand how this could happen.
    Thank you, Shelly Poquette
