Without examining you, I can only guess. In the list of things that would be considered is referred pain from your back. A Sural nerve entrapment-possibly from an old ankle sprain. Peroneal or Achilles tendonitis, causing the sural nerve to be irritated. I would suggest seeing a podiatrist or neurologist.
