burning pains feet and arms and shoulder pains

(3 discussions)

I started having burning feet about a year ago.
It slowly has worked its way up my body so that I now have burning arms and shoulder blades, as well as more painful feet.
It happens on both sides of body.
It started after being on a statin drug, but no dr. so far as agreed with that and no one has come up with a diagnosis from lab work.Recently, I was referred to a podiatrist, who found a fibroma on one foot and a nueroma on the other.
Is there a condition that would cause these on feet, yet other nerve problems further up.
Thanks .Linda C.

Yes, he took me off statin, and I got a little better. Then he put me on zetia and within 2 months, I got a lot worse, so he is pulled me off the zetia. I also have feet that turn red, and now my hands are starting to do that. The podiatrist has ordered an MRI of my foot with the fibroma, and my internist wants me to go see a neurologist… I think they are all puzzled. Thank you for answering questions. It is a really nice service.Linda Childs

I am sorry, but I do not know of a condition that might be the sole cause of your symptoms. Have you discussed going off the medication or getting your doctor to switch you to another?
