Calcaneous Stress Fracture swelling question

hey…okay I have had this stress fracture since july 7th.
I’ve been wearing sneakers for about 8 weeks now.
There is no pain when walking..Even with brisk walking there is no pain.. but there is STILL swelling!!! I don’t know what to do about the swelling.
I was wondering if it is okay to run.
Also, could the swelling just be scar tissue or something? or does the swelling mean that the bone is still broken? My doctor took regular x-rays about 6 weeks ago and nothing was wrong with them.
The MRI I had done back in the first week of august showed the stress fracture.
NO pain, just a little swelling (when u compare it to my other foot).
I’m really getting frustrated.
Anything u can tell me would be very helpful and appreciated! thank you!

I haven’t seen your foot so I can’t really tell if you should run or not. Swelling generally is a sign that healing is still going on. You should ask your doctor who has seen you throughout this for a recommendation.
