calcaneus fracture
I fractured my calcaneus last April,had surgery and physical therapy, and I am still in lots of pain.
The pain is mostly across the ankle region and underneath my foot as well.
I cannot move any of my small toes and my foot is still discolored and swollen.
I recently went for a second opinion and this doctor wants to do a subtalar fusion.
Does this sound right?

If you are asking for my opinion about your problem specifically, I can not answer you without examining your foot and X-rays. Having said that, if there is sufficient damage to the foot, further surgery might be indicated. If you still are unsure, get another opinion until all your questions are answered. There is no quick easy answer for this unfortunate problem. Good luck.
