Calf pain
My son has developed fairly severe calf pain when playing basketball. It started with the beginning of the season. It does not hurt whan not playing. Two Ibuprofan do a reasonable job of helping.
What would cause this? What should he do to cure it and would a calf support help this?

I am a podiatrist. I do not treat his problem, but I usually say that pain is an indication of something is wrong. I recommend that he is evaluated by an orthopedist.
