Calf Strain (?) from running
I am a beginning runner (about 4 weeks into a run/walk program).
This week, about 1/2 mile into my run I experienced a sudden sharp pain in my lower calf, right where it rounds off into the achilles tendon.
I could barely walk back home. No “pop” and no swelling, but a bit tender to the touch. 3 days later and it still hurts a bit to walk around.
I have been icing it as regularly as I can and I keep it wrapped during the day. Anything else I can do to start running again in a week or so?
