Capsulitis

My podiatrist says I have capsulitis. I’ve had this condition for a couple of years. He’s tried custom orthodics (all types) to no help. I think I’m beginning to lose my mind. I’m tired of this. What else can I do? There is pain and burning right below the 2nd met head. My podiatrist says there is inflamation too. A bone scan was negative.

Without examining you, I can’t say for sure. Sometimes a metatrsal pad is useful for this problem.

Yes, we’ve tried that. I believe my condition is beyond that. What is usually done in severe cases?
