Heel nodules

I have a condition called Adiposa Dolorosa and have had terrible pain in my feet for a couple of years.
Tonight my husband observed no less than 15 pea-sized nodules on the back of each heel (and around the edges of both heels).
Could these be more lipomas or is there another condition similar to this.
The pain in my feet increases with pressure applied to the nodules.
They can be seen from 10-15 feet away when I am standing and nearly disappear when I sit.
Thank you!

Pain

I have looked thru the forums and cannot seem to find a place where it talks about pain in the little toe. I stubbed my toe on my husbands big shoes last night and my poor small toe is hurting so that it hurts to walk. Can you break your little toe or is it most likely just something that needs to heal on its own. I would appreciate any answer. Thank you

broken foot

(2 discussions)

I am a 58 year old woman with type two diabetes. The bone in my foot above my middle toe is broken.
I broke it last Friday and never went to the podiatrist until Wednesday because I had no pain, just swelling.
The docter explored the pros and cons with me of surgery and I opted to first see if it heals with a walking boot cast (velcro, etc.). My question to you is, is this adequate or should I also be using crutches.
I am now on Evista and Fosamax and scheduled for a bone scan.
I am desperate to do whatever I have to to get this to heal.
I won a trip to Paris that I have to take or lose on Oct. 31st and I’d like to not have to wear this boot.
I’m also concerned that this boot appears to be to big for me and I don’t know how to judge the right size.
I am putting on a heavy sock to tighten it.
I also want to know what would have happened to my foot is I’d never gone in to the doctor and continued to presume it was just swollen because it was buised inside.
Thank You

Metatarsal

i broke my 1st and 2nd Metatarsals at work by having something drop on my foot. I had a cast on for 8 weeks.the doctor then x-rayed my foot again and said the 1st Metatarsal hasn’t healed properly yet and said he won’t put another cast on this time as it might bond better without one, and not to put all my weight on the injured foot. i’m now on my 12th week and still can’t walk. how long do these things usually take to heal?
thanks

Neurologist needed???

I am following up with you on my possible TTS.
I am thinking that I should be seen by a neurologist.
With my symptoms, the pod is saying TTS.
After the cortisone shot Monday I am not any better, and in some ways worse. Do you think it would be of vaule to go?
Nerves are their domain, though I wonder what more they could do for the foot tingling and arch burning.
When I walk on carpet barefoot the carpet feels like it is starched….my sole is that sensitive.
As always, thanks for all your help…you are a remarkable person to be giving so much of your time to us!Melanie
