Cervical spondulitis symptoms and cure

Hi,Would cervical spondulitis result in – severe pain in the right hand from shoulder unto wrists?- feeling of numbness (not loss of sensation but the same feeling as when hands/legs “go to sleep” if kept in same position for very long periods of time ).If true, is there any medicinal cure for this? Is PT the only cure? Thanksaahana

Yes, it could cause all the symptoms you describe. You could go see a PT, chiropractor or surgeon.

ive just recently gone back to work after 5 wks off, my doctor has sent me for physio therapy, ivwe had sever pain so bad it hs made me sick on occasions, I’m stil suffering but battled back to work, my neck locks and then I have gripping sensation on the back of my head, its at this point where I feel sick and do become sick. the pains travel down my inner legs and feels like chronic chronic ache, syptoms remind me of contractions whilst in labour, my doctors could not diagnose me at forst and thought I had a mental prob!! I became so upset because the pain is so so unberable at times I shut myself away from my frineds and fmaily because I don’t want to be looked on as if I’m moaning and complaining all the time, its not fair I feel that such an active p-erson has to go through this and I want to know if it will ever go away, my job is a sit down job and I have been told that its due partly to this, its driving me crazy, I want to know if swimming could make the pain better, right now my neck feels like a tight elastic band about to snap!! I’m close to breaking down I cannot cope with this anymore, what can I do?

Could a pain in the upper back after gardening work,or sitting in an armchair for several hours, followed sometimes by a slight headache and slight nausea, be a symptom of spondulitis?
