Chipped bone in foot?
I chipped a non weight baring bone on the outside of my right foot. There is a bit of bruising still present after a week. I have been icing in a bucket and applying pressure with a ski boot and elevating. I can walk just about normal but no running yet, cycling and swimming are not to painful either. The only other thing is that my calf seems to be very sensitive, I am not sure if it is knotting up or there is more problems. Anyhow, how long do these chipped bones take to heal?
Thanks,Brian

All the bones in the feet are weight bearing. How do you know you have a chipped bone? Was this X rayed? Your treatment method is not something I would recommend. Too much motion across a fractured bone with delay healing. You either need to see a podiatrist or orthopedist for further evaluation.
