If diagnoised with a pressue reading of a 74 in a anterior compartment in the lower leg, a faciotomy was performed what is the percentage of the muscle being alive. Also, can muscle die after a faciotomy is performed. How common is it for someone to be diagmosed with compartment syndrome that they have to have the muscle removed.

    I just had one of my calf muscles removed after a reading of 106. The muscle was already dead and easy to remove for the doctor. There was no blunt trauma to my leg previously and the pressure seemed to build to that level from overusage.Hope that helps.

    I have surgery on the 11th of August and I would like some post-op information.
