cortosone injections

My friend was diagnosed with bursitis and tendonitis and was given a shot of cortosone.
What is the time table usually for the cortosone to take effect? As of now which is four days later there is no relief of pain.

Dear Sir, Where may I be able to purchase a vile of cortizone for a reaccurring soccer injury and where do the shots help the most. Right knee. My doctor says they do not use cortizone but recomends steroids in it’s place. Please advise. Rob

Unless your a doc you can’t “buy” cortisone. But I guess if you go to Mexico you can..they sell most of their drugs over the counter.
