over the last seven days my neck has been suffering from almost complete non-movement and in pain. When I wake I cannot move my head. It started as though I had sat in a door draft and by the following morning I could only just swallow. GP thinks cyatica and has given me strong pain killer. Is this pain going to come and go forever now or could it be something I have to get used to and what is cyatica? Please help in severe pain?

My pain occurs when I sit for lengthy periods. I drive a delivery van for a living and it is becoming increasingly difficult to perform my work. The pain feels like it starts in the small of my back through the right cheek and thigh to my right calve and ankle. If anyone out there has a remedy I would be most great ful for a response. Thanks

My r/h buttock is sore constantly. My r/h thigh is numb.My r/h calf (outer)and shin have a burning sensation. All the above are made worse when walking and it is almost unbearable if I carry any weight. The above has occured after being treated by a physio for a strained back. The phisio improved the back but on the last visit she used her elbow to masage the tendons in the buttock and I felt a sharp pain, the above symptoms have followed. My work entails a lot of walking and I am unable to walk for more than 20min.Cycling has very little negative effect on the pain. I had Shurumans cyndrome as a teenager,I’m now 39.

Honestly, try stretching. A friend of mine in Puerto Rico had been on drugs for two months to alleviate sciatica, the pain was preventing him from running. The manager of the gym had him lay over a Roman and gradually pull himself downward so that he was bent greater than 90 degrees, and sustain the stretch for several minutes. It resulted in immediate alleviation of back pain. In-fact, after stretching for 15-20 minutes, he was able to work out.
