cyst achillis tendon
Dear Dr.
I had a cyst we think removed about 20 years ago on my achillis tendon. The Dr who removed it at the time didn’t send it in. Anyway 20 years later I have it back again. I had gone through skin grafts and everything else the first time. They have dediced to remove this and think it is a ganglion cyst on the achillis tendon, The plastic surgeon says he isn’t sure as the first one was a mystery. What do you think

I am not sure what you are asking- it is very difficult for me to give a diagnosis when I haven’t examined a patient. As far as guessing what your cyst might be- it is possibly a ganglion, but it might be other things as well. The doctor who is treating know better.
