degenative arthritis

I am 56 yrs. and have just found out I have degenative arthritis in my left shoulder(due to dislocation because of being held down during a seizure an epileptic seizure).
My orthepedic doctor said I would probably be living on Celebrex and Cortisone shots.
I take home $231.11 and my husband collects social security.
Is there some way to get the tablets cheaper as they are $2.00 each?Do I have to worry about Calcium build-up?
Should I do regulary exercising of my arm?
