My name is Dr. Gambale, i've been a chiropractor for over 22 years and this is my opinion about your situation A bone island is an increased density in an area of the bone. It can be harmless but it's a good idea to check that area if painful. Degenerative disc disease at L3-T11 indicates abnormal stress in that area of thte spine.
