Dent in Quad Muscle

(2 discussions)

I recently noticed that I developed a “dent” in my right quad, about six inches above my knee, on the anterior side of my leg.
I am not feeling any pain or swelling, and it doesn’t bother me at all.
I used to be quite active, but recently had a baby in four months ago.
I am not sedentary, but could this be muscle atrophy? Any help would be appreciated.

I also have this and I’m three months postpartum! I’m scared it’s something more sinister, my dr is sending me for an ultrasound

Pretty much safe to say it is not muscle atrophy. Atrophy generally results in loss of mobility and/or pain. Fasciculatins (muscle twitching) is common also in atrophy. But a small amount of muscle twitching is normal in every person.
