dent in upper thigh muscle

(2 discussions)

I have a dent about a centimeter thick and three inches wide on the front of my upper thigh… I have no idea how I got it or what exactly it is or what I should do about it. My leg is sore and the muscle surrounding it seems to be swollen…the pain isnt too bad.. I do alot of walking so I tend to ignore small pains. If you could give me any information I would apperciate it. thank you.

My questions concerns a “dent” in my thigh muscle. Rheumatologist says it is realted to RA and may be panniculitis. It is in upper thigh, does not pain, but is a serious dent in my thigh. Should I be more concerned than Rheumatologist was? Thank you in advance.

about 5 months ago I noticed a dent in my right thigh about 4 inches long and an inch wide its about 4 inches from my hip, went to the docs about a different thing and mentioned it to him, he sent me for an MRI scan.got my results from the scan yesterday and all normal, I think it may have been a shift in fat cells? what does anyone else think
