Disk desiccation, protusion and foraminal narrowing

The results of my last MRI (6-13-05) were as follows:1. L5-S1 disk desiccation with mild degenerative end-plate changes2. Disk protusion effacing epidural fat without indenting it. 3. In contact with S1 nerves causing mild-to-moderate foraminal narrowing. They also found (incidentally) an 8cm subserosal uterine fibroid. What does this mean?
Should I go to a doctor or to a chiropractor? I have constant pain in both legs, specially in the right one, with limitation of movementes.
My lower back is also bothering me. Any answer or comment is more than welcome. Thanks.
