Dislocated distal ulna

Dislocated left distal ulna 3 weeks ago – trapped between cow & gate. There were no fractures & doctors had never seen such an injury without associated fracture. Still getting intermittent severe pain. Any ideas? Female 44 years. Right handed. Previous left colles fracture aged 8 years. Many thanks.

I had a similar situation several years ago. I dislocated/broke the radial head at the elbow and as a result of physical therapy prior to surgery, my wrist dislocated. This turned out to be more serious than the elbow. I could not rotate my hand up (supinate). In the end, the radius and ulna were “pinned” together and a small slice of ulna was removed just above the wrist. My wrist now pivots just fine. There is is less strength but not enough to keep me from playing tennis. There may be some other procedure today but at the time, this surgery was the best answer. Good luck.
