DO I HAVE A TORN CALF MUSCLE?

WHile playing badminton Monday night, I felt like a rubber band in my calf snapped. My left leg is swollen, went to see a doctor, nothing he had done. Now 4 days later, my leg is red, purple along the calf and my ankel shows purple and seems like liquid inside. Do I have a torn muscle. What should I do now.

    It appears as though you do based on the same thing that happened to me and same symptoms – see my post earlier. 3rd week and the swelling has gone down a little bit and it’s still sore and a little stiff, but I can walk much better. The doc told me nothing he can do – only rest and time will heal and doing rehab exercises. Follow the RICE – Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevate and that helps.

    THANK YOU MIKE. MY ANKLE, FOOT SURFACE ARE RED AND PURPLE SO BAD. THE CALF IS SO SORE. BUT I’VE ALREADY STARTED REHAB MOVEMENT.
