English Please? Mri Results

after a car accident 5 months ago and at 23 years old I’m in really bad pain. my MRI results:there is a disk desiccation with suggestion of an annular fissure and 3mm mostly central posterior disk protrusion at L5-S1 level making contact witht he anterior aspect of the thecal sac. and there are 1mm central posterior disk protrusions at the t5-t6, t6-t7 and t7-t8 levels indenting the anterior aspect of the thecal sac. What does this mean? English please?

You have arthritis for one thing. Disc desiccation means the disc is degenerating (drying out), it also appears to have a crack or “fissure” and is allowing for the gel inside to bulge posterior and make contact with the nerves. I bet you have pain referring down one or both of you legs. The other areas are mild disc bulges or as the radiologist mentions “protrusions”.
