FHL Tendonitis please help

Has anyone ever heard of FHL tendonitis?I was diagnosed w/ this condition which was thought to be posterior tibial tendonitis originally) and told to wear orthoitics – i finally broke out of my inept HMO and paid out of pocket to see an expert in NYC. He diagnosed my problem as FHL tendonitis (big toe tendon) which ballet dancers usually get.
I have to wear a @#%! air cast for 4-6 weeks! Anyone ever hear about this condition or know about successful recovery?!? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

this is just tendonitis in the flexor hallicus longus tendon, (big toe flexor), it starts right beside and underneath the post tib. and inserts past that muscle onto the big toe, instead of the tarsals, so your hmo wasnt so far off, it will heal just like most tendonitiss, just rest and rehab.
    hope that helps.
